Do I have to remove all clothing when I have a massage?
This all depends on your comfort level and the type of massage you are going to receive.
For sports therapy sessions, it is often suitable to keep some of your clothing on.
For general relaxation therapy, it is entirely your decision, according to how comfortable you feel. Most people prefer to wear loose-fitting underwear for example, but the choice is entirely yours.
Massage Therapists ensure that clients are covered with a towel or sheet and only the areas to be massaged will be exposed.
Isn't massage just to help you relax?
Massage is excellent for relaxation, but it also has many more benefits...
- Helps with chronic muscular aches and pains
- It helps reduce muscle tension and stress
- it's great to improve circulation, alleviate breathing problems and can help with lowering blood pressure
- It helps relieve headaches, improves your daily mobility and wellbeing.
- It is a good way to help with anxiety and depression and also helps to promote good, restful sleep.
